KTIMA KALLIENA HOUSES

The residences should be like “always there”, made in an unknown moment of time, a part of history guarded and hidden in the vegetation labyrinth. To make this possible, the geometric typology of the neo-Cycladic houses with the pure form and the white neat finish was not followed. Instead the elements of the composition were designed as independent. The figures emerged coarse and massive, as a result of the composition of vertical stone pillars and horizontal slabs, creating a fluid sculptural ensemble in the landscape which greatly breaks down the repeatability of the complex.
